Yes. Ceramic coating permanently locks in the current condition of your paint. Any swirl marks, scratches or water spots will be sealed under the coating. We recommend at minimum a single-stage paint correction before any coating application.

Avoid washing for 7 days after application to allow full curing. After that, hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes — they cause swirl marks that degrade the coating. A foam cannon with a soft microfibre wash mitt is ideal.

Ceramic coating significantly improves scratch resistance and prevents swirl marks from light wash contact. It won't stop deep scratches or rock chips. For full physical impact protection, paint protection film (PPF) is the correct solution — the two work best combined.

Absolutely — new car delivery is the ideal time to apply ceramic coating. The paint is in factory-fresh condition requiring minimal correction, which keeps costs lower and ensures the best possible bond. We recommend booking within the first week of delivery.

PPF is a physical urethane film that protects against rock chips, scratches and physical impacts. It is self-healing — light scratches disappear in sunlight. Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that adds hydrophobic properties, deep gloss and chemical resistance. They complement each other perfectly: PPF on high-impact zones, ceramic coating applied over the top across the full vehicle.

A full front end installation takes 1–2 days. A full vehicle PPF wrap takes 3–5 days depending on vehicle complexity. We'll confirm your exact timeframe when you book.

Yes. Melbourne's roads — particularly the Western Ring Road, Hume Highway and outer suburban roads — generate significant stone chip damage, especially on bonnets and front bumpers.
